Finally got round to replacing my Netgear 854GT which was giving me nothing but problems.
I’ve gotten hold of a Speedtouch 716WL
First impressions are pretty good and its easy to configure
ADSL 2+ ready along with VOIP which doesn’t tie you to a particular carrier, I’ve set up a SIP proxy account with iptel which is free of charge, now I just need to buy myself a RJ11 cable arrgghhhh

What do you think of this router?
I’m thinking of getting it and would really like a users review of it!
Seems like a really good router.
Let me know what you think.

I’ve had the router a couple of weeks now and its proven to be very reliable, Setup and config is equally straight forward, in fact there’s nothing much to do other than provide an account name and password to connect to your service provider. You do then have to configure the wireless interface and the VoIP option, although these are equally straightforward.
I haven’t played with the VoIP much as yet and have recently switched from iptel to VoIPtalk which seems to offer better proxy support for talking to other VoIP providers.
Once I get that setup I’ll post a quick guide (though I won’t have time to do this for a couple of weeks due to work commitments).
